1. General
By creating an account on any SermonAi website, submitting an order, or using any SermonAi products or services (the "Services"), you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
The Services are owned and operated by HotCiti LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company ("SermonAi," "we," "our," or "us").
You represent and warrant that you are of legal age to enter into a binding agreement. No person under thirteen (13) years of age may create an account or provide personal information.
These Terms apply to all Users and Communities using the Services.
Definitions
- "User" means any individual who creates an account or accesses the Services.
- "Community" means a church, ministry, nonprofit, business, group, or organization that licenses the Services for its Users.
- "Services" means all web-based features provided by SermonAi, including writing tools, AI research tools, sermon aids, and related website functionality. SermonAi does not provide downloadable desktop software or mobile applications.
- "Subscriptions" means term-based access to the Services.
- "Order" means any purchase of a Subscription or other paid Service.
- "User Content" means any content uploaded, entered, created, or submitted by Users.
- "AI Output" means any text, writing, content, or material generated by the SermonAi platform's artificial intelligence systems.
We may revise these Terms at any time. Updates are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
2. Who We Are
SermonAi is an online platform developed by HotCiti LLC to assist pastors, churches, and individuals with sermon preparation, biblical research, writing support, and related ministry workflows.
When we refer to "you," we refer to the User or the Community accessing the Services.
3. Intellectual Property & Rights to Use the Services
All rights, title, and interest in the Services—including the website, AI systems, software code, branding, trademarks, and underlying technology—belong to HotCiti LLC or its licensors.
The Services are licensed, not sold. SermonAi grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to access and use the Services solely for your personal, professional, ministry, or Community purposes.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of SermonAi's underlying systems or intellectual property.
3.1 Ownership of AI-Generated Content (AI Output)
All AI-generated content produced by SermonAi is fully owned by you, the User.
You have complete freedom to:
- Use
- Modify
- Publish
- Distribute
- Perform
- Incorporate
- Store
- Share
- Sell
- Include in sermons, books, videos, lessons, online content, or commercial works
...without attribution to SermonAi and without seeking further permission.
SermonAi claims no ownership over AI-generated output.
3.2 Ownership of User Content Input
You retain ownership of all User Content you upload.
You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to upload any material you provide.
3.3 Reservation of Rights
SermonAi retains all rights to:
- Its software
- AI models and algorithms
- Platform architecture
- User interface designs
- Documentation
- Branding and trademarks
- All intellectual property not expressly granted by these Terms
No additional rights are granted by implication.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Modify, reverse engineer, or attempt to access source code.
- Bypass or attempt to bypass security features.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) without permission.
- Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code.
- Share, sell, rent, or sublicense access to the Services.
- Post unlawful, defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, violent, or inappropriate material.
- Impersonate any individual or organization.
- Use the Services for spam or unsolicited messages.
- Use the Services to compete with SermonAi.
- Engage in conduct that disrupts the Services or harms others.
Violation may result in account suspension or termination.
5. Trademarks
All SermonAi names, logos, icons, and branding elements are trademarks of HotCiti LLC. They may not be used without permission.
6. User Content
SermonAi is not responsible for User Content submitted or posted by Users.
We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
By using the Services, you grant SermonAi a limited license to store, process, and display User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Services.
User Content may remain visible to a Community even if you delete your account.
7. DMCA Policy
SermonAi complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

8. Automatic Updates
Because SermonAi is a cloud-based service, updates may be applied automatically. By using the Services, you consent to automatic updates.
9. Marketing Communications
You may opt in to marketing communications and unsubscribe at any time. SermonAi may still send transactional or essential account messages.
10. Privacy
Use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
11. User Responsibilities
You represent that you have authority to agree to these Terms. You agree not to use the Services in violation of U.S. law.
12. Security Responsibilities
You must notify SermonAi promptly of any unauthorized use of your account or any suspected security breach.
13. Fees and Payment
All fees are non-refundable and must be paid when due.
Fees are listed in U.S. dollars and may include applicable taxes. A third-party payment processor handles all transactions.
Failure to maintain valid payment information may result in account suspension.
14. Subscriptions
Subscriptions begin upon confirmation of payment or start of a free trial and renew automatically unless canceled.
You may manage or cancel your subscription through your account settings. Cancelation prevents future charges but does not entitle you to a refund of past payments.
Free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends.
15. Chargebacks and Billing Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, you agree to contact SermonAi first before initiating a chargeback with your bank.
16. Limitation of Liability & Warranty Disclaimer
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available."
SermonAi disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or reliability of results
SermonAi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including:
- Loss of profits
- Loss of data
- Business interruption
- Loss of goodwill
Our maximum liability shall not exceed the greater of:
- Amounts paid by you in the previous 12 months, or
- $100
You agree to indemnify SermonAi against claims arising from:
- Your use of the Services
- User Content
- Interactions with other Users
- Violation of these Terms
17. Arbitration Agreement & Class Action Waiver
Any dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration under JAMS Streamlined Arbitration Rules.
Venue
Arbitration shall occur in Massachusetts, unless both parties agree otherwise.
Class Action Waiver
You agree not to participate in any class action or collective proceeding.
Jury Trial Waiver
You waive the right to a jury trial.
Opt-Out
You may opt-out of arbitration within 30 days by emailing:

18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
